I am an ambitious first-generation undergraduate student studying political science and American studies at the University of Mary Washington. I plan to attend law school to receive my J.D. in order to practice immigration law after my undergraduate studies.
I am originally from the great state of California, Southern California to be specific, where most of my family still resides. I moved to Virginia at the age of 1, and have resided in Northern Virginia ever since.
I am involved in many extracurriculars, but one of my favorites is dance. I currently dance for the University of Mary Washington dance team, as well as participating in professional cheerleading programs with the Redskins Cheerleading Organization.
I am also involved with other extracurriculars such as being members of clubs, such as the UMW Pre-Law Club and Latino Student Association. I also volunteer within my free time with the Medical Reserve Corp of Fredericksburg.
I am a proud daughter of Salvadoran immigrant parents, and honor my heritage by advocating and raising awareness for Latino issues, experiences, and resources.
